Video of Chernobyl Plant Construction
I recently stumbled upon a rare video clip containing footage of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant construction. This footage appears to be from the early 1970s, showing the construction of Reactors 1 and 2. The narration is in Russian.
It is rare to find film and still photography of nuclear plant construction in the Soviet Union because it was considered a risk to national security.

Plant Director Viktor Bryukhanov makes an appearance at 0:56 in this video. Today he's apparently alive and living in Kiev.
After the accident, for which Bryukhanov was widely considered to be the most responsible, the former director was put on trial and sent to prison. In 2008 Bryukhanov gave an interview in an Al Jazeera documentary, laying blame for the explosion on the physics design of the RBMK reactor and defending the April 1986 intertial-rundown test protocol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b11aWXkehtY
