Chernobyl and Eastern Europe: Map - European Continental Scale of the Chernobyl Accident  

The map below is a depiction of the European continental scale of the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Plant accident.  Specifically, the map shows the deposition of Cesium-137 across Europe after the disaster.  This particular map was prepared by Grid-Arendal, a collaborating center of the United Nations Environment Programme.
