About This Site
Chernobyl and Eastern Europe began as a simple blog on the Blogger network in August 2006. I enjoyed maintaining the site, but its pure blog format limited the type of content I could post. The platform was much too limiting for my vision, so after careful consideration, I decided to start the chernobylee.com domain and create this website.
The blog will remain an important section of this site, but will be only part of a greater whole I hope this site will become a good reference source for all things related to Chernobyl and Eastern Europe. In the future, I hope to add topic information, photos, essays, general information, FAQs, etc. to the site.
Specific topics will hopefully include, but not be limited to:
Chernobyl
Eastern Europe
About Me
I aam a freelance writer and amateur photographer who is fascinated with everything related to Chernobyl and Eastern Europe. Besides creating and maintaining this site, I am also an editor for the English-language site and forum of the public project Pripyat.com.
I have also published several print magazine articles over the past 15 years and written for several other web magazines. In addition to all that, I am busy writing magazine articles and preparing to write a book about the Chernobyl area.
